Maths WC 25.4.22 - Arrays

This week in Maths we have been looking at multiplication arrays.

We went on an array hunt around school, we created arrays outside using cones and also in the classroom using cubes.

Arrays are a physical or pictorial representation of a multiplication calculation, we count how many rows there are and how many are in each row, this is the multiplication sentence. Then we count the full amount of objects and this tells us how many there are all together.
