Hathersage Gallery
What a glorious first afternoon here in sunny Hathersage! We are just back in from orienteering over at Brookfield Manor as well as stream dipping too.
We've already learned new map-reading skills and have run for miles finding markers round the extensive grounds of Brookfield Manor. Add to that a biological study in the local stream and we have had an action packed afternoon.
Highlights so far include finding huge crayfish with their massive pincers in the stream, saying hello to the sheep in the fields and, of course, splashing and getting our wellies full of water in the stream!
The children are currently tidying their rooms, showering and getting ready for evening meal. If they can just stop giggling and laughing, that is!
More later!

Hello, parents and carers! The journey to Hathersage went seamlessly quick and here we are, in the heart of the Peak District already and, as I write, the children are being briefed by St Michael's staff. During the course of the next 3 days, I'll be updating the website whever possible, and we'll hope to bring some photos of the children in action too.
The children have been a real credit to JC already with a great attitude ever since leaving this morning- we look forward to a great 3 days away!
Do keep checking back, we'll update whenever we can!
