John Clifford School are holding two Open Sessions this November for new prospective parents to have a look around the Foundation unit and school. Please see attached flyer for all the information. Applications for a reception school place for September 2026 opened Monday 3 November 2025. The national closing date is Thursday 15 January 2026.
Children who are 5 years old between 1 September 2026 and 31 August 2027 should apply.
Parents of all known Nottinghamshire children eligible to apply will be sent information to their home address from 3 November 2025. Remember, children who live outside of Nottinghamshire must contact their home local authority for information about applying. If you have not received a letter please visit www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/admissions to make an application.
We recommend that parents apply online at www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/admissions, they will then be able to view the outcome of their application on National Offer Day 16 April 2026. For those parents who do not apply online, and do not provide an email address, their outcome will be posted 2nd class on 16 April 2026 and no outcomes can be given over the telephone.
Parents are encouraged to read the oversubscription criteria carefully for their preferred schools and to use all 4 preferences.
