This week in maths, children have continued their learning with fractions and have been ordering, adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator. Children have then been applying this to problem solving and reasoning questions.
In English, children have been using emotive and exaggerate language in a class debate. Children have also begun to ‘box up’ the text ready for our persuasive letter shared write later this week.
In science, children have been exploring reflection and shadows. Children have completed a range of activities using mirrors and thinking about different surfaces which have the best and worst reflections. Also, we have created shadows using different classroom objects and then created our own shadow puppets using a torch, card and our hands.
