Snowdrop

Week beginning 14th November 2022

This week in maths, children have continued with their addition and subtraction learning, focusing on using inverse operations to check answers and using RUCSAC to solve problems.

In English, children have continued to explore setting descriptions and invented their own description. Children have planned, written and edited their work. They have also published this as part of their take care writing.

This week, children have started to prepare for their trip to Creswell Crags. In our reading sessions, children have read a selection of information about the activities they will complete and discovered new vocabulary. Children have also read instructions about how to wear the helmets for our cave tour. As a class, children acted out the steps to help them remember for next week.

For this week’s spellings, we are looking at using the suffix -ly

Children will take part in a spelling quiz on these words on WB 21.11.22
