This week in maths, children have continued their learning with fractions. The have been finding non-unit fractions of amounts, counting in fractions and finding a whole. Children have been working in groups to practice their counting and show this using different amounts.
In English, children have continued with their learning about Grace Darling. We have been picking out key features from our text, exploring these in more detail and then completed a shared write.
In science, children have started their new topic all about light. This week, the children have completed an investigation exploring how we can see objects through a box with small holes. Children have also been learning about the visible spectrum of light and created ‘whizzer wheels’ to explore this in more detail.
