Fireworks, sparklers and Guy Fawkes

We have been focussing on Bonfire Night in the Poppy Class this week.

We have looked at the story of the Gunpowder Plot and found out why we celebrate Bonfire Night now. We are learning to retell the story of The Gun Powder Spot as our focus for Talk for Writing.  We also talked about staying safe around sparklers and fireworks and  have had good fun getting creative by making our own edible sparklers, and painting our own fireworks pictures.
