We hope you all had a wonderful, restful half term break. We would first like to thank all parents and carers for their cooperation and support with the Parents' and Carers' Consulations last week. It was lovely to speak formally with you about your child's progress so far in Year 5, and hear about how we can better support each child going forward.
This week, in English and Topic, we are delving into the topic of the Space Race, looking specifically at renowned research mathematician Katherine Johnson. We are currently enjoying conducting some thorough research through different media ready for applying our biography knowledge later this week.
In Maths, we are working on column subtraction, both with fluency questions and understanding written word problems.
PE continues to be on a Monday and swimming each Wednesday. Please ensure that your children come wearing the correct kit on these days.
Spellings are also on Seesaw for you to access each week. Seesaw log in details can be found in the back of your child’s Communication Diary. Please also ensure that your child is reading 3 times a week at home.
