Buddleia

WC 04/10/21

Year 5 continue to impress us with their attitude to learning this term. You are all working so hard – well done!

This week, we are writing our own non-fiction historical reports, gathering all of our information that we have gathered about the Benin in West Africa. We have also been looking closely at phrases and clauses, focusing specifically on recognising subordinate clauses. In Maths, we are revising negative numbers, increasing our confidence with these by counting on numberlines to solve problems that use negative numbers.

On Thursday afternoon, Allium class are continuing their African drumming topic with Miss Crook. This is followed by KS2 choir practice with Mr Wedgeworth from Alderman White, preparing a song for Harvest Week next week.

Buddleia class are continuing their computing work with Mr Mitchell, using Google Slides to collaborate with their peers on a presentation related to our Science topic.

We are completing some standardized testing on Wednesday and Friday.

PE continues to be on a Monday and swimming each Wednesday. Please ensure that your children come wearing the correct kit on these days.

Spellings are also on Seesaw for you to access each week. Seesaw log in details can be found in the back of your child’s Communication Diary.
