This week in maths, children have continued their learning with fractions and have investigated equivalent fractions. Children have been using Cuisenaire rods to show how fractions are similar and have built their own fraction walls to help them with this.
In English, children have been introduced to our new text, a persuasive letter. Children have been learning the story map and thinking about persuasive language to tempt Mr Man not to pull the rope. Please see the story map below to practice at home.
In science, children have been exploring colour and how it is affected by light. Children have been using our class cave to investigate which colours are the easiest or hardest to see in the dark. Children have also been exploring how reflectors and high visibility clothes change with light.
Below is a copy of the story map to our class text.
