Travel
We have started our new topic of Up, up and away. This week we have been reading Mr Gumpy’s Motor Car, Mr Gumpy’s Outing, Duck in a Truck and many other books related to transport.
Maths- This week we have been looking at doubles. We have played doubling games, we have sung songs, along with completing maths challenges.
Art- We have linked our art to doubling, we cut out butterflies and then finger a painted a number of dots on one side, we folded them in half to see what would happen. We discussed our findings and counted all the dots.
Writing- After reading the story of the week, we wrote about Mr Gumpy and his car.
PE- This week we have been learning how to balance, move and negotiate spaces. We had a special sports coach called Luke who helped us.
ICT- This week we played phonics games. We tried to beat each other’s score.
In the role play area we have a travel agent and an aeroplane, we had fun going on lots of different journeys around the world.
